1/11/2024 0 Comments Ps4 7 days to die seedsTOTA was a borrowed power league, Crucible was a Borrowed Power league, Sanctum was a borrowed power league. ![]() league designs and items that are very obviously never intended to be core features of the game. The biggest culprit is borrowed power design. I think GGG has lost their "fear" of making things too temporary feeling and its shown in the last 2 years of leagues with almost all of them being jacked up power levels that CLEARLY were never intended to be core features or core items. its destroying the illusion that POE items matter. But lately they've really ramped up the temporary. Item weight or perceived value is supposed to be a "core pillar" of their "vision" for what makes a great ARPG. More people are posting about it lately though. How is this not a fucking disaster for a loot driven, build driven ARPG?Īt the very least this is an increasing long term problem for GGG that they don't even know is brewing. I can safely not make the build I'm excited for, its just going to get bricked asnyway. Add to that the increasing feeling that my items can be deleted by design changes? Or the whims of a developer "revamping a skill" can brick my builds permanently? Okay that means my builds have no value. I can safely take this league off and nothing will have been missed. And that means I'm not missing out on anything. then those items and system don't matter. If items or systems are getting deleted in 3 months well. Too many deleted things, too many borrowed power designs, too much "destructive innovation". They are steadily destroying the illusion of items having a value (Weight as Chris calls it). I'm literally trying to get hyped to play 3.23 but my brain needs the items I farm to matter longer than three months. It's especially crappy that none of the items players have earned will transfer over to POE2 and it's all but confirmed that you'll eventually shut down POE1 as well.ĭestroying stuff willy nilly and destructively redesigning things creates the opposite of "FOMO" it creates "Fear Of Wasting My Time". It's unfortunate that you keep barreling forward in this direction, rather than doing the right thing with regard to respecting player items. ![]() I'm sure in upcoming leagues we'll see things like Heist blueprints and rogue items deleted or maybe even remove-only tabs set to a 30-day auto-deletion, just to save a few dollars on data storage. There's no reason other than your own penny-pinching on data storage, to not keep Metamorph jars around in the event it comes back to the core game. When you didn't have Metamorph ready for core at the end of the Metamorph league, you still let players keep the jars in their tabs. Likewise, the Metamorph item deleting sucks too. You really just care about quick MTX wins with new players and continue to shovel out middle fingers to long time players. It's these knives that cut the deepest, and why I refuse to support the game anymore. Also lumberjack zeds can drop some really good loot although be careful taking them on at early levels. It is really a sign of how much GGG cares, that you continue to delete player items that they have spent no small amount of time farming up or crafting.Īs a result of the lazy solution to deleting all alt quality gems, I will be losing nearly 200 alt quality gems that I have been working on collecting league after league. Otherwise snow biome is one of my favourites and good for unlimited water thanks to the ability to melt snow in the camp fire so you did not need the faucets in that biome anyway. ![]() Also be careful of temperature which I am sure you have already considered. Also it seems to mess with shadows when mining and can cause surfaces to look black so you do not know what you are harvesting until you have hit the block (albeit that could be my graphics card or settings though). Snow biome can make things awkward to see when it is snowing as an extra thick layer falls over everything and I have lost gore blocks with loot and birds nests in it before lol. Not to mention the white ground I expect will make it easier to spot things on horde night without as many spotlights. I want to build a base in it for my band of brethren, they pick the game, they dragged me to this one as long as I can build my little projects I'm happy. A ton of water is not needed, nor appreciated since it just makes traveling a pain we have a mod that lets us get murky water from faucets.Īs far as to why? I just like the snow biome, a frozen hell lol. As far as further what I'm looking for, a goodly amount of hub cities and skyskrapers, other biomes for resources not too terribly far. However, just out of curiousity, why do you want a large snow biome with a city in it?
